Local Since Forever (recipe!!!)

If you're from the lowcountry then you most likely love seafood. And if you love seafood, then you most likely love the Pig! We strive to carry the freshest fish and the most locally sourced items possible (& we do a pretty darn good job at it!)

One thing guaranteed to be in the fish case at all times is fresh, local shrimp. I've been eating these bad boys since I was a toddler and simply cannot live without them. They're easy and quick to cook and make any meal more delicious 100% of the time.

Last night I made shrimp tacos & got a lot of feedback from the photo I took so I thought I'd share the super simple recipe with yall!

To start, make a spice mixture by combining chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt & pepper.

Sprinkle spice mixture onto your peeled shrimp.

Now, make a simple salsa!

Dice pineapple, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, & cilantro and combine.

Pan saute seasoned shrimp in olive oil on medium-high heat. (Be careful not to overcook! These babies don't take more than a few minutes per side)

Throw shrimp & salsa in a tortilla and top with some avocado slices and you've got a meal!
